You will lead teams on a high number of sector focused audits, supporting juniors and reviewing their work before a team of managers.

Description
You will work together with the wider team, leading in a methodical manner in order to meet the needs of the clients and complete the audit fully before manager and partner review. You should be able to comfortably delegate out required tasks to the team and offer support and guidance where necessary, resolving technical questions that may arise. You will monitor staff performance and provide constructive feedback after the completion of each audit assignment.
- Complete audits in accordance with prescribed procedures
- Monitor progress of jobs, to meet deadlines and budgets that are set
- Produce detailed audit reports from the planning stage, to include details of potential difficulties and ensure correct tests are applied for sufficient audit evidence
- Produce a short summary on key client issues and the contents of the accounts before passing to the senior member of the team
Profile
- ACA or ACCA fully qualified
- 3+ years of practical audit experience
- Experience leading and supervising audit teams up to 3 people
- Be an approachable and hands on leader
- Excellent audit analysis skills
- Competent planning and completion skills
- Draft audit reports and client letters
- Be up-to-date with technical knowledge including any recent changes
- Computer literate - good excel, word and caseware experience
- IFRS exposure is highly desirable
