Your new firm
A well established independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Ashton-under-Lyne are looking to appoint an Accounts Manager / Partner Designate to join the firm and progress through to partnership. This is a newly created role to support the firms succession planning and is a career defining opportunity for an ambitious general practitioner looking to progress their career.

Your new role
As an Accounts Manager / Partner Designate you will initially work alongside the departing partner to ensure a smooth handover of the portfolio of clients for which overtime you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of compliance and advisory services to. Your client base will be varied and include small sole traders through to international businesses and the services you will provide include year end compliance, monthly / quarterly outsourcing and tax planning work.

You will work with the other partner to manage the accounts team of around 10 staff and take an active role in the development and growth of the practice and their client base. Over 1 - 3 years there will be the opportunity for the successful applicant to progress through to partnership.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking to appoint an experienced and qualified (ACA / ACCA) accountant who is able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering a full general practice offering to a range of OMBs. As this role is office based the firm are seeking someone who lives locally to Ashton and is keen to network in the local area. As this role offers progression to partnership you must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ambition to progress your career.
