Head of Finance - PE-Backed

Hawkmont Consulting is exclusively recruiting for a Head of Finance for a fast-growth PE-backed business in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The business is at a very exciting and important stage of its journey, and this is a fantastic time to join and make an impact in the newly created Head of Finance role. 

You will be working with a highly talented team, working closely with the COO, CEO, and Chair, as well as taking an important role with the Private Equity reporting. You will be tasked with taking ownership of the finance function as well as leading on a new finance system upgrade.

The Head of Finance and team will be responsible for the delivery of all of the management and financial reporting, including commercial analysis and statutory compliance. You will also look to make significant improvements as well as analysing risks and opportunities for the business.

The Head of Finance will take ownership of the PE relationship for finance, banking relationships, as well as contract negotiations with suppliers. The role is a commercially focused role, with lots of projects to get involved in across the business. You will be part of strategy meetings the business hold to drive performance and help shape the future of the business.

As the head of Finance, you will have broad responsibilities, and you will be able to use your experience to add value to a number of different departments, including, operations, marketing, and sales. You will have a hands-on approach to work and an excellent work ethic.

The successful individual will be a technically strong, fully qualified Accountant who has led the finance team hopefully within an SME environment. You will be a positive, motivated individual with excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of building strong working relationships across and outside the business. You will enjoy playing a major part in driving the business forward whilst developing processes and empowering people.
