Management Accountant

Your new company
This well established and expanding business group with diverse interests in farming, land, property and investment sectors are looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join the group which has offices near Ipswich, Suffolk.

Your new role
The Management Accountant will be joining a talented finance team who are due to COVID currently working remotely but will in the longer term be based at their modern offices near Ipswich, Suffolk.
Reporting in to the Financial Controller but also working closely with the Finance Director the Management Accountant will take responsibility for the day to day financial and management accounting for a group of businesses, key responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly Management Forecasts, Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts
• Quarterly VAT Returns
• Maintain loan schedules
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Assist with completion of Corporation & Income Tax returns
• Maintenance of financial books of account for all entities
• Control of bank accounts for all entities
• Invoice coding and payment queries
• Process improvement projects
• Ad hoc duties as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed
The Management Accountant will be a qualified ACA/ACCA Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge gained from working in an accountancy firm or for a group
They will have excellent organisation skills, be a confident communicator and have a good eye for detail
broad ranging accounting skills/knowledge and experience of Sage and Excel.
