Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently recruiting for Commercial Analyst within the distribution arm of one of the major retailers on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, key areas of focus for the role are KPI reporting, management accounts, budgeting and forecasting and the requirement to communicate with senior stakeholders. This is a pivotal role in an exciting fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-Report and analyse weekly and periodic performance indicators to support operational cost control
-Understand and communicate key cost drivers to support the cost focus process
-Produce the periodic management accounts for the warehouse operation
-Produce, review and forecast monthly balance sheets
-Prepare monthly cost forecasts and bi-annual budgets
-Conduct monthly finance reviews with warehouse site management
-Play a part in the medium to long term capex planning process
-Perform investment appraisals to support operational decision making

The successful applicant will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

-Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
-Good IT knowledge - Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, CODA, SQL
-Ability to analyse and interpret large volumes of information
-Excellent attention to detail with an analytical approach to solving problems
-Strong communication and influencing skills
-Enthusiastic and driven with a real passion for developing yourself
-Be able to adapt and keep pace with a fast-moving environment
-Commercial awareness and understanding of core business processes
