Elevation Accountancy and Finance are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a national Food manufacturing brand to recruit a Finance Systems Manager. This is initially an interim contract for a period of 9 months but could well become a permanent role for the right candidate.

Working closely with the internal IT department and external systems support provider, you will monitor day-to-day systems performance to allow the smooth and accurate running of the group finance function. Ensuring any issues are quickly resolved and documented, you will also proactively identify any recurring system issues experienced by the finance team and design and test potential solutions. Championing continuous improvement, you will strive to identify areas where system improvements can be made to increase efficiency, improve controls and minimise end user error. In addition to training and supporting the finance team, continual review and maintenance of the group Finance Systems handbook and updating changes to any processes, procedures and troubleshooting solutions will also form part of your role.

Representing the finance team in any group wide system or IT projects, you will collaborate with IT to understand the impact on any current processes and communicate these to relevant finance users whilst playing a key role in the end to end testing and delivery of any proposed changes.

Other responsibilities will include understanding how system data is utilised in group wide BI software and supporting with the development and continuous improvement of Power BI and TM1 reporting across the business.

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified finance professional with significant experience of M3 as an ERP system within a manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills along with an inquisitive and continuous improvement mentality are essential. Some experience with Power BI and/or TM1 reporting tools is highly desirable, however, if you have an interest in developing your knowledge and experience in this area your application is also encouraged.

This role will primarily be based remotely, working from home with occasional travel to sites once government guidelines allow. Access to South Yorkshire at least once a week is preferred long term to engage with he finance team and key stakeholders.
