Audit Project Manager

A leading business in the field of Marketing, Advertising, PR and Media is looking to expand its finance division with an Audit Project Manager. Based in London, this full-time, contract role will start in January for an initial 3-month period and pay £550 - £650 per day ltd.

The business is well known for its exceptional standards and has grown over the years to encompass numerous entities and a complex structure.

Your New Role

The successful Auditor will join the organisation during a time of change and transformation. They are looking to make vast improvements to their systems and processes and, as part of this, they are investing in the Accounting and Finance framework for the Group team.

As the Audit Project Manager, you will take ownership of their up-coming audit. This involves coordinating and engaging with multiple stakeholders. As you will be working with a range of individuals in the audit planning and delivery, communication skills are key.

You will work closely with the Group Financial Controller and take responsibility for the following tasks:

• Project management and co-ordination of the Group Audit
• Project management of the completion of the group audit
• Coordination of audit queries at group level
• Identifying key stakeholders and maintaining appropriate engagement and communication
• Being the main point of contact for the external auditors
• Quality assurance and quality control
• Creating an action plan
• Reporting project progress using agreed reporting lines, templates and processes
• Management of escalations within the Group Reporting team
• Supporting with production of year end statutory accounts
• Implementation and management of group processes in finance
• Actively managing risks and issues, including identifying risks before they become issues
• Simplifying and improving the quality of the annual report
• Ensuring that statutory accounts comply with all statutory, legal and regulatory requirements
• Assisting with ad hoc projects as required

Experience Required

The organisation is looking to hire a Qualified Accountant who is ideally Audit trained. You must also demonstrate:

• Group experience from a larger business, ideally a PLC
• Experience as the main point of contact for external auditors
• A strong background in delivery of projects and audits
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• The ability to develop strong, trusting and credible working relationships with multiple stakeholders quickly

Salary

On offer for the Audit Project Manager will be £550 - £650 per day, dependent on experience.
