Elevation Accountancy & Finance have a rare & exciting opportunity working for a rapidly growing, innovative business based in Sheffield, as they look to recruit a Finance Manager/Coordinator to join their team on a full time, permanent basis. You will oversee financial reporting, projections, and annual accounts for the company.
The successful candidate will manage a small team and will be expected to be engaged in the running of the finance support service on a day to day basis, including close liaison with the HR Team to support the development of the payroll system and processes.
The Finance Manager will undertake a variety of duties including but not limited to:
* Maintain highly accurate and up to date accounts and financial records
* Manage and develop internal financial monitoring
* Prepare and deliver monthly management accounts to SMT and budget holders
* Deliver projections for grant applications and oversee expenditure
* Monitor staff allocations and other expenditure on grant projects
* Manage and mitigate financial risks
* Lead the Finance Team, carrying out all line management responsibilities
* Work with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to produce an annual budget, financial projections and business plan for the charity and its various programmes
* Produce individual project budgets or templates as required
* Monitor corporate financial performance and key risks on an ongoing basis
* Oversee the production of Monthly Financial and management accounts and other reports as needed
* Generate payment runs, and maintain banking systems
* Perform accounting journal entries and control account reconciliations to ensure the financial software system is in balance
* To maintain the fixed asset register to update the P&L and balance sheet
* System administration of the finance system including nominal structures and allocation of staffing against appropriate codes
* Ensure payments are made on time and all other HMRC requirements are complied with
Person specification:
* Qualified Accountant with membership (CIMA or ACCA)
* Outstanding communication skills with ability to liaise with individuals across all areas of a business
* Previous experience working within a similar sized organisation with high level of responsibility
* Team management to motivate and enable
* Experience of Sage Line 50
* Strong Excel and reporting skills
