They are now recruiting for a Senior Accountant to join their Resources and Growth team. 

 

The Role

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the organisation’s regulatory returns and will provide detailed and accurate costings to all areas of the organisation, for tenders, reviews of specific areas of the business and other financial submissions.

 

As an integral member of the business’ Resources team, the Senior Account will provide support to the Finance Manager and cover absence for both the Senior Management Accountant and Senior Accountant (payables and receivables).

 

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Returns

  • Assist in the collation of data and build for the 30 Year plan (FFR) in BRIXX
  • Prepare the annual FFR for the Regulator of Social Housing
  • FVA annual return to the Regulator of Social Housing

 

Management Accounts, Annual Accounts and Budgeting

  • Assist in the preparation of annual financial statements and in the external audit process
  • be responsible for reviewing the monthly accounts for LD Cluster East, Wenham View

 

Accounting

  • Review the Loan Portfolio, and monthly interest accrual
  • Review the calculation and posting of leasehold depreciation and maintenance of supporting information
  • Assist with the review of parts of the business, understand how they work operationally and financially and to model in a way which reflects the underlying financial performance
  • Assist with the review of potential areas of growth and tender opportunities
  • Project manage the payroll transformation alongside the Payroll manager
  • Project manage any other Finance initiatives alongside other Senior Finance staff

 

About You

You will be an experienced Senior level Accountant, with familiarity and confidence in using computer systems, such as Excel. You will have experience in basic reports and have fantastic written communication skills.

 

You will be AAT qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience working within the accountancy field.

 

Their ideal candidate will have worked in a similar sector and have a solid understanding of accountancy principles and concepts.
