Financial Controller

Based in Central London, we are working exclusively with an established Construction company looking for a Financial Controller to join their efficient business.

This job would suit an ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified accountant reporting to the Managing Director and responsible for the whole production of the company's account for the c.£40M turnover group. The business is efficiently set up and this is a stand-alone role in the finance function whilst overseeing a couple of people in other areas of the business.

This company has an impressive track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule to a very high standard and within budget. They also pride themselves in working collaboratively with clients and integrating as part of their team to ensure that all parties including sub-contractors are working together.

The successful individual will be a qualified accountant with strong experience in both management and financial accounting having run a finance function for a small business. Knowledge of the construction sector is advantageous but not essential. You will have exceptional communication and organisational skills and be able to thrive in a hands-on environment.

Duties will include:

Responsible for the production of the monthly management accounts for the groupResponsible for the preparation and presenting of 5 year budget. Overseeing financial management system "Easybuild" Responsible for analysing large quantities of Management Information using Excel.Present management accounts to the board highlighting key variances.Act as a key business partner to both operational and commercial leads within the group.Ensure accurate balance sheet reporting and periodic reviews.Assist with the preparation of the statutory financial statements, Tax and VATResponsible for scheduling all payments suppliers Manage all aspects of transactional finance including Bank Reconciliations, Accounts Payable and Receivable duties.
