Your new firm
A modern and reputable firm of Chartered Accountants are looking to appoint an experienced general practitioner to join their Southport office as a Client Manager to manage a portfolio of accounts, tax and ideally audit assignments. This job opportunity has arisen due to continued business wins and growth across the practice. The firm will consider a working pattern of 4 days a week, full time or 5 days over school hours.


Your new job
As a Client Manager you will be responsible for managing a growing and varied portfolio and overseeing the delivery of compliance and advisory work. Day to day duties will include managing budget and WIP, delegating and reviewing work, attending client meetings to present accounts, tax calculations and audit planning and completion meetings and taking an active role in business development both with existing and new clients. You will be a prominent figure in the Southport office taking an active role in the management and training of the team.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA) who has gained post qualification experience managing clients / assignments in some capacity. You will have experience working within a general practice and be able to demonstrate strong technical knowledge in accounts, tax and ideally, but not essential in audit.
As a client manager you must have a strong commercial awareness and strong communication skills.
