Systems Accountant

Axon Moore are representing a high growth, well established e-commerce retailer in Greater Manchester. This organisation is continuing to growth from strength to strength, with strong forecasts and ambitious, yet achievement targets.

As part of the ongoing development of the finance team, my client is looking to bring in a Systems Accountant who will be the go between Finance and the wider business, providing critical expertise across different function resulting in a highly visible role.

This position could suit an individual who has worked in a similar systems role before, possessing excellent IT skills, and strong business partnering capabilities.

Key Duties:

• Deliver Finance Systems activity across the finance function, inclusive of month-end, scenario modelling, year-end and investigating issues.
• Be the main point of contact between IT and the business for all financial and system queries.
• Continually review and monitor operation performance of financial systems, assessing system capabilities and seek improvement opportunities.
• Identify and analyse technical and business requirements aligned to the systems implemented e.g. security, documents and reports, internal processes and configuration.
• Ensure the suitable training of staff across the business to utilise the system correctly.
• Business partner with key stakeholders to provide continual system assessments and improvement updates.
• Maintain any system issues, keeping detailed logs of bugs, fixes and testing.

Person Specification:

• ACA, CIMA or ACCA Qualified.
• Experience in a Systems role, or part of a systems implementation.
• Advanced Excel skillset.
• Strong experience on a variety of systems, particularly Dynamics 365.
• Excellent communicator.
• Strong Financial acumen.
