European Commercial Finance Manager

 

Based in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, our client is a market leading company looking for a European Commercial Finance Manager to join their team on a 12-month temporary basis.

 

This job would suit a qualified management accountant with experience working for an FMCG company. The Finance Manager will be responsible for coordinating the Europe G&A budget, liaising with corporate finance, and communicating with the Finance Managers across Europe.

This company is a leading business in their field that have grown dramatically over the past twenty years. The business promotes creativity and innovation as well as creating great products.

 

The successful individual will have an excellent commercial background and be competent in effectively communicating with non-finance stakeholders. It is essential the candidate has strong knowledge of SAP and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

 

Duties will include:

  • Business partnering and making commercial recommendations to the executive team
  • FP&A responsibilities, and management accounting
  • Reviewing total Europe and market P&Ls, identifying and communicating any material variances
  • Preparing the monthly 3PL accruals and allocation of 3PL costs across Europe
  • Preparing the quarterly excess and obsolete stock provision calculations for Europe
  • Coordinating the completion of the monthly Europe and market executive reporting packs, consolidating P&L variance analysis, working capital, cashflow and balance sheet commentary from Finance Managers across Europe and updating graphs and tables for the Europe finance review deck
  • Coordinating and consolidating the European G&A forecasts and assisting with reporting, analysis and commentary required for the business reviews
  • Providing support to the European IT, HR and Facilities managers with budgeting, forecasting and reporting
  • Testing and validating changes to standard costing and COGS account assignment
  • Testing reporting tool improvements implemented in SAP, BI and BPC
