Highly reputable Manchester city centre firm seeking tax advisory assistant manager / manager. £Comp.

This Manchester-based independent accountancy practice has progressed from strength to strength. They have seen notable growth in recent years and are now a firm of over 60 staff. They are a highly reputable firm within the north west that have over 95% of their work be referred through word of mouth. They operate a general practice that services clients' needs, spanning accountancy, taxation, corporate restructuring, mergers & acquisitions, retirement planning and more.

Your new role
This central Manchester-based job opportunity is to join the practice's tax team. You will be provided your own allocation of varied clients. These range across all type of work, including that of non-UK residents to draw upon international expertise. The role will be predominantly advisory in nature, however some more complex compliance pieces will crop up. Your responsibility is to support the tax senior manager on their advice work and to help bridge the gap as an assistant manager/manager to the remainder of the team. You will be confident working on mixed aspects of taxation, leaning more on the personal side, such as (but not limited to); IHT, share schemes, reorganisations, resident /non-domestic issues, capital gains, liquidations, remittance planning and offshore accounts.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you must have accountancy practice experience, and be ATT/CTA qualified, or be qualified by experience. Appropriately representing your clients' interests is key so you will need to be able to speak confidently when addressing their problems, and draw upon your past experience, as well as other tangible expertise, to maintain the high, credible standards of this firm.
