Our exclusive client is a hugely profitable and disruptive specialist within their sector who demonstrate an extreme passion for what they do. They have reengineered their industry to become UK leaders and are continuously expanding the Group.

Established over 40 years ago they have continued to achieve consistent year on year growth throughout 2020. The Group has a clear overall strategy in place to further capitalise on its success which is centred around driving more extensive growth. This is focused on innovation, expanding their geographical reach, targeted acquisitions and continuing to revolutionise its products.

To support this strategy there is a requirement to appoint a technically strong and commercially orientated Financial Controller to support one of the fastest growing divisions within the Group. Operating as the ‘right hand to key stakeholders, the incoming Financial Controller will be responsible for driving financial performance of the division. This critical role will be highly commercial, formulating sound financial strategies and plans to support the organisation strategy and would suit someone who has the ambition and drive to further develop their career to become a future Finance Director.

The ideal candidate will be an ACA qualified Accountant with a background in audit and subsequent experience within a fast paced and dynamic environment. You must evidence strong technical skills supported by a successful financial reporting background and display high levels of commercial acumen with the ability to work cross functionally and drive performance. You must have also mentored and developed small finance teams to support a high growth organisation and understand what ‘best in class’ looks like within a large organisation to facilitate a streamlined and efficient approach across the Group.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a disruptive organisation as it continues to reengineer its sector and further cement its title as a UK leader. The role will be highly commercial and play a critical part in driving the innovation and vision to continue dominating their market. It will also offer the exposure required and opportunity to become a Finance Director in the future.

As well as a competitive salary an excellent benefits package is on offer which will include an enhanced pension scheme, interest free learning loans, birthday leave, and an employee shared ownership.
