This position will play a key role as part of an ongoing centralisation project, acting as a project and business controller ensuring best practices and controls are created, implemented and followed on a global scale. Also responsible for a P&L and balance sheet with reporting elements.

Description
Key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring monthly, quarterly and annual performance is accurately reported and ready for review, with a focus on property spend and central costs.
Working with the several internal teams (including a SSC), as well as Business Managers to gain a full understanding of financial performance
Creating new processes to manage properties and ensure the balance sheet provision are in line with local accounting procedures.
Working with fellow controllers to ensure that a common process with common templates are followed.
Acting as an interface between various teams globally, helping to resolve any reporting and process issues.
Taking the lead on responding to audit queries in relation to P&L and Balance Sheet movements. Ensuring the responses are clear and concise and reflect the risk to the reported results
Providing accurate and reliable financial information to support the business, including data that supports budgeting, forecasting and long range modelling.
Profile
The successful candidate will:
Be a qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) accountant with experience of operating in an international finance function, within a medium to large matrix structure/s
Have a management/commercial accounting background
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of a strong control framework and the ability to help create, enhance and champion control processes
Be an excellent communicator capable of building and maintaining fruitful internal relationships with a multitude of stakeholders
Experience of accounting work in change or centralisation environments will be advantageous, as will property/assets accounting experience
Be able to start within 4 weeks maximum and commit for a 12 month period
Job Offer
Our client are offering the opportunity to join their successful international organisation for a 12 month period in this newly created remit. A day rate circa £250-300 per working day or a FTC with a £50-60k banding are both feasible pending preference for the suitable candidate
