Finance Controller (UK), FTSE 250 West London, paying up to £80,000 plus benefits

Dynamic FC position for a global brand, affected by Covid, but will recover back to a £800m t/o (UK territory) business. Reporting into the UKFD with a team based both in the London and USA you will be responsible for the financial and management reporting for a large multi-site operation. You will be the link between UK Ops and Group Finance. Recovery will be gradual through 2021 but the forecast is to return to 2019 numbers by early 2022.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead person for all UK based financial and management reporting
  • Support and partnering with the CEO, CFO, and other Divisional Directors
  • Review and make recommendations on new strategic initiatives such as new property
  • Work with commercial departments on analysing potential new revenue streams
  • Responsible for pricing and all margin analysis
  • Property estate reviews recommending changes and efficiencies
  • Marketing business partner. Ongoing assessment of ROI
  • Continuous improvement of analytical processes to provide better commercial insights

Technical Knowledge & Experience

  • Professional accounting qualification (ideally ACA or ACCA)
  • Leadership role in an Audit setting (internal or external) & a sound technical accounting grounding
  • Would be beneficial to have experience with IFRS16
  • Commercial analytical exposure, with evidence of driving commercial growth and efficiencies
  • Leadership experience
  • Evidence of interacting and influencing at a senior level
  • Ideally multi-site, retail experience
