Divisional Financial Controller
Based: Manchester
Salary: up to £55k + car allowance + excellent benefits and opportunities
Our client are an award winning, leading professional services business based in the heart of Manchester. Doubling in size and turnover in the last 5 years, they have expanded throughout the UK and enhanced their services through a number of acquisitions. With further acquisitions and projects in the pipeline for 2021, they have created this new role to work closely with the Group Financial Controller, looking after the finances for the largest group division, assisting with internal projects/acquisitions and managing a small team of 4
We are looking for a confident, forward-thinking, decisive business partner who has strong communication skills, the ability to influence, lead and add value to a growing business.
Role:
- Responsible for all financial reporting and control for the groups largest division
- Managing a team of qualified and part-qualified Accountants
- Business partnering with senior management and group reporting
- Preparing monthly management accounts for the board in line with group reporting timescales
- Leading on driving financial performance for the division
- Delivering monthly KPI's for the division, ensuring things run smoothly
- Providing accurate management and financial information to Group FD and MD.
- Control of P&L and leading on all business partnering across the division, helping maximise performance
- Using finance data to influence business performance and decision making, driving business efficiencies and growth
- Managing annual budget and regular forecasts including all cash forecasting for the division
- Providing support to the Group Financial Controller in annual audit and all group reporting.
- Assisting with group projects including financing, systems and further acquisitions
- Streamlining processes - improving efficiencies, cost saving and processes
Experience:
- ACA/ACCA qualified Accountant with experience in practice and industry
- Experience working in a fast paced, progressive, growing business
- Strong technical ability, financial reporting, analysis and modelling
- Commercial acumen with the ability to drive performance and challenge stakeholders
- Confident, credible, forward-thinking and inquisitive - able to understand key business drivers and strive for enhanced business performance
