Finance Director

An opportunity for an experienced, hands on Finance Director to play a critical role in managing all financial aspects of a small international group of companies operating in the technology arena including business strategy to drive growth and profitability. The role is a statutory director and reports into the CEO as part of the senior management team, overseeing a small finance function to deliver on the following remit:

• Financial planning, analysis and forecasting
• Prepare and be accountable for annual budgets and targets
• Monthly accounting and financial reporting with actionable commentary and analysis with a focus on driving profitability and cash
• Preparation of the annual accounts and managing the audit process
• Oversight of customer financial management including billing and debt collection
• Ensure proper application of policies including revenue recognition
• Support negotiations with customers and supplier
• Work with the board on strategic growth, including possible M&A opportunities
• Manage the group’s tax and compliance positions

The role will suit an experienced commercial and technical Finance Director who will be qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with exposure within the technology arena in an international environment. You will be able to straddle some of the Controller aspects along with providing the strategic focus and ability to translate short term initiatives and outcomes into fulfilment of long-term goals. A proven record of improving financial and operation processes to enhance efficiency, controls and shareholder value. You will be comfortable and credible presenting to a Board of Directors as well as being client facing for commercial negotiations.
