The Compliance Project Manager will primarily be responsible for project managing an extensive remediation programme in relation to legacy client onboarding whilst developing a new ‘Know Your Customer’ (KYC) tool. 

This is an extremely ‘hands on’ position, working autonomously to facilitate tangible compliance improvements from analysis and design through to transition. The Compliance Project Manager will bring significant experience and expert knowledge of the latest financial security and anti-money laundering (AML) protocols.

 

Compliance Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Implement robust and effective KYC controls to ensure that information sharing occurs in a manner that is consistent with requirements
  • Escalate any reported issues or breaches of information sharing rules to the COO
  • Ensure that key programme and project data trends and performance are highlighted and reported in a clear and coherent fashion, communicated and distributed to the relevant departments and shareholder
  • Own and manage the Programme and Project issues and actions log, retrieving updates from the relevant source(s) and keeping a timely update of the tracking lo
  • Produce accurate project control documents and ensuring that the KYC project toolbox (project templates and standard presentation templates|) are relevant and up to date
  • To work closely with the Head of Compliance on issues relating to the ongoing review of relevant compliance modules to ensure alignment and share knowledge/best practice around financial security and AM
  • To build strong relationships with key internal teams to identify areas for support, raise awareness and manage ongoing risk
  • Provide regular reporting into stakeholders on status of the activities to ensure adherence to the new KYC framework
  • Set and drive the agenda with his peers in matters of scheduling, reporting and success rates to understand performance against the framework

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Excellent academic record of achievement
  • Good working knowledge of Project Management principles - PRINCE2 / Six Sigma
  • Previous track record of successful Project delivery within the financial services or professional services sectors with ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent IT and database skills
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen to actively seek cost savings and efficiencies by innovation, creative team management
