Our client, a prestigious financial services firm located in the idyllic setting of York are looking for a fully qualified Financial Reporting Manager to add value to the department and provide essential business partnering & reporting commentary.


Your new role

The role will be managing the consolidation and reporting team who deal with all reports and accounts including the IFRS financial statements. In addition, it also runs the group consolidation process.

Your main duties will be;

• Responsible to plan and prepare the key activities across reporting cycles
• Oversee consolidation of group financial data and reports this includes performance analysis, regulatory, narrative reporting and financial statements
• Support IFRS cycles including process improvements
• Liaise and brief other business units including internal and external stakeholders
• Provide analysis of consolidated data and review and challenge of reported numbers
• Drive implementation of change within the team

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong financial/regulatory reporting and accounting skills
• ACA/ACCA Qualified accountant
• Strong IT skills and ERP system knowledge
• Be able to produce a consolidated report and accounts
• IFRS reporting or Solvency II experience
• Implementation of change and continuous improvement would be desirable
• Ability to work across all levels including at a team level and to be able to be a key contact for internal and external stakeholders
• Attention to detail -Magnitude experience would be desirable
