Management Accountant

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified (or overseas equivalent)  Management Accountant to join this high tech global London group based in the Docklands. You will be part of a very busy London based finance team and take responsibility for management accounting for the UK and European entities as well as overseeing the consolidation in EMEA.

The role, with primary responsibility for the a key divisional business, reports to the Head of Management Accounts and is part of a Management Accounts team of 7 whose principal functions include:

•                  responsible for the timely month end close and completion of monthly management accounts

•                  prepare and maintain monthly/periodic controls, including inter-company reconciliations and settlement, prepayments and accruals, as well as controls specific to the Learning business (for example reconciliation of apprenticeships and exam fees)

•                  production and distribution of monthly Group reports and provision of monthly variance analysis and commentaries as required

•                  responsible for completion of various statutory returns including UK VAT and, with the assistance of outsourced firm, VAT for certain European countries

•                  provision of information as required with internal auditors in respect of SOX requirements and external auditors in respect of the preparation and finalisation of audited annual financial statements

•                  ad hoc tasks, including support for the Head of Management Accounts, as required

You will be recently qualified with say around 2 years post qualification experience The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in management accounts, international GAAP and SOX compliance would be a huge bonus, will possess first rate communication skills, self motivated with a hands on approach.
