Group Finance Manager

Based: Bolton

Our client is a UK leading service business who have grown dramatically over the last 5 years with numerous acquisitions along the way further facilitating their UK growth. Based in the heart of Bolton in a brand new office, it is an exciting time to join their progressive finance team.

This position will be managing a team of 2 and providing effective financial control and information to all areas of group finance.

Role:

  • Managing Cashg Accountant team, supporting and developing strong working capital management, reporting and forecasting for the group
  • Providing monthly financial results for all cost centres to Financial Controller commenting on variances to budget and forecast
  • Preparing audit packs for group companies, complying with tax rules
  • Business Partnering with budget holders and senior managers, guiding and challenging commercial decisions
  • Building strong relationships with central teams, providing monthly reports and holding monthly calls with budget holders to ensure they understand financial and operational performance & KPI's
  • Consolidating, manipulating and presenting data extracted from ledgers, payroll, HR producing information to influence business outcomes
  • Ensuring financial KPI's for all business functions are highlighted on key trends
  • Preparing all budgets and forecasts, supporting budget holders through process
  • Maintaining financial models to ensure consistency in forecast and budget across all cost centres
  • Preparing consolidated group budget and relevant supporting analysis and presentation
  • Producing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Incorporating new or acquired businesses into core systems, procedures
  • Implementing robust financial systems across all divisions and SSC
  • Ad-hoc analysis and reporting for budget holders, Directors or CFO

Experience:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified essential
  • Strong management accounts and group finance experience highly desirable
  • Proven ability to influence outcomes and challenge managers when required
  • Team management and development experience essential
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting relationships internally
  • Advance Excel skills essential - data manipulation, analysing and presenting
