IFRS Accountant job in North Kent upto £600 a day 6 month contract. Standard IFRS implementation needed.
Your new company
You will be working for a large Blue Chip Financial Services organisation in the North Kent area. The IFRS 17 Accountant job is a 6 month contract to assist the business in implementing business ideas around the IFRS 17 accounting standards. The companies large offices are based in a central location with easy access via public transport, however initially you will be working remotely with a view to working hybrid once restrictions are eased.
Your new role
You will be leading the implementation of the IFRS 17 accounting standards. You will lead the project from inception through to conclusion, drawing up project plans and communication/change strategy; and ascertaining business requirements. You will liaise with multiple departments within the business like the solutions team and implement ways in which the business can incorporate the new accounting standards, defining the businesses requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have worked in a position like Project Accountant or IFRS implementation roles previously. You will have strong experience in standard implementation of accounting principles. Ideally you will have recent IFRS 17 experience but if you have worked on projects implementing IFRS 9 or 16 previously or Solvency II then you may have the required skill set. Insurance background is ideal but may consider other Financial Services backgrounds if you have worked on major IFRS implementations. Excellent communication skills needed.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid on a day rate basis upto £600 a day, being paid on a weekly basis with initial remote working and flexibility when restrictions are lifted. You will gain 6 months experience working for a reputable organisation.
