Senior Financial Accountant | £50,000 - £55,000 + bonus | Central London

Reporting to the FC, key responsibilities will include:
Financial reporting and ownership of all accounting computation (balance sheet and P&L)
· Responsible for month end and year end closings, liaising with the Finance team (Purchase ledger & Treasury accountant, FP&A analyst) to ensure accurate reporting.
· Producing monthly financial reporting other financial information excluding treasury.
· Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts in accordance with the agreed timetable.
· Preparation of annual statutory accounts in accordance with legislation.
· Preparing annual audit file and relevant documentation in line with legal and accounting procedures.
· Liaising with auditors in all countries (UK, AU, SA).
Statutory, Tax & Accounting compliance
· Full understanding of UK GAAP and tax obligations to ensure all statutory tax and accounting obligations are met.
· Responsible for all tax computations including instalment payments, CT61's and CT600's
· Preparing monthly VAT returns, intrastat, witholding tax and corporation tax, in accordance with customs and excise legislation
· Offering professional judgment on financial matters including VAT legislation.
Responsible for Sales Ledger / Accounts Receivable
· Monthly sales invoicing and Corporate distributors report based on distributors data.
· Liaise with distributors for all sales, payments, customs duties, and tax matters.
· Subscription sales management: Sales follow-up and reconciliations (AS400) liaising with the dedicated team at the head office
About you:
· Demonstrable relevant industry experience in statutory accounting (ideally 3 years in a manufacturing or product-based environment)
· Practice experience would be a plus
· Integrity, accuracy and attention to detail
· Problem solving and decision-making skills
· Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a willingness to help in all areas as required
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
