Group Financial Controller role for a high-growth, multinational data/insight business ($1 billion+ revenue). Reporting + Business Partnering + Projects. Up to £80,000 + Bonus. London.

The Client
Our client is a rapidly expanding, highly-acquisitive data/insights business that have almost doubled in size in recent years, now exceed $1 billion in revenue and have also listed on the NYSE in that time. This expansion has driven the need for a newly-created Group Financial Controller to join the London finance team.
Acting as number 2 to the International Controller, this is a great opportunity to join a strong team and progress within an established but fast-growing business. Finance is a team of 20+ globally and this role would have great exposure to senior stakeholders across the business.
Initially fully remote but moving to 1-2 days per week post covid.
Description
The Role
This is a broad and varied Group Financial Controller role with an EMEA/APAC remit and that will encompass the following responsibilities:
- Group Reporting: oversight of month end/year end reporting responsibilities for your regions
- Business Partnering/Advisory: 80% finance, 20% non-finance. Technical advisory across the group. Support of senior stakeholders.
- Change/Transformation: Ongoing development of best practices. Process/controls development to ensure SOX adherence, ensuring high quality of reporting/data + systems/automation improvements
- Projects: Acquisition accounting. Integration of new entities + advisory. Any other ad hoc reporting/analysis as required.
Profile
What's Needed
- Strong technical background within audit
- IFRS, US GAAP and SOX compliance
- Subsequent experience within a multinational and a group finance/technical role
- Proven background in managing multiple senior stakeholders
- Comfortable highlighting areas of development/delivering change
- Able to travel to Central London 1-2 days per week (post Covid)
