A global membership organisation is looking for a Finance Manager to take on a lead technical role. Based in London, this is a full-time, 6-month fixed term contract role in which you will have both BAU and project work alongside a new FD to fulfil. The role is stand-alone but part of an 8-person finance team.

Your New Role

The newly placed Finance Manager will:

• Manage accounting operations including general ledger, inventory accounting and revenue recognition
• Prepare and publish timely monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Manage month end close process
• Review all management accounts packs
• Co-ordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Research technical accounting issues for compliance
• Manage and comply with UK and US tax reporting requirements and tax filings (including VAT)
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Additional controller duties as necessary

Qualifications and Experience

Applications to the role are invited from Finance Managers and Senior Management Accountants who demonstrate:

• Recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA
• A strong track record of combined accounting and finance experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures - IFRS as well as management accounting principles and techniques
• Experience with creating financial statements, VAT and tax reporting
• Experience with general ledger functions and month end close process
• Experience with inventory accounting
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Salary & Benefits

In return, the Finance Manager will be offered a pro rata salary equivalent to £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus competitive benefits.
