Our client is a PE backed luxury international clothing business, with an omni-channel sales strategy including online, concessions, wholesale and season pop-up.    In a newly created vacancy, they are looking to recruit a talented individual to support the CFO.  This is an ideal opportunity to gain hands on involvement across all areas of the business in a premium brands company.   You will be expected to support commercial decisions that enable growth, provide analysis and relevant management information, as well as focus on ERP and IT systems. 

Responsibilities:

  • Execute financial statement analysis and conduct monthly P&L analysis and provide commentary on actual versus forecast / plan / prior year and support the CFO with the preparation of the forecasting and board pack materials
  • Support cash management and forecasting by preparing cash flow forecasts.
  • Own the timely completion of accounting functions including monthly close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting requirements. 
  • Lead the preparation of quarterly VAT filings
  • Develop relationships with various departments in order to better serve their business needs and provide financial support to senior leadership by insight to aid in business decisions
  • Assist the CFO in various ad-hoc financial planning & analysis as well as special projects, as needed.
  • Take the lead on ERP-related queries (Netsuite), develop a deep understanding of the current processes, design and implement system controls to provide quality assurance over financial data
  • Manage big datasets in a scalable way via Excel PowerPivot ERP database query & identify areas to achieve better efficiency
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand their specific system and reporting requirements & build data workflows with automated access to reports.

The ideal candidate:

  • You will be a newly qualified or part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or ACA)
  • Ability to work under pressure with multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong in process improvement
  • Analytical mindset with ability to solve difficult problems in a proactive manner
  • Experienced in an SME preferred
  • Strong Excel skills & Tech Savvy, hands on experience with ERP and Reporting systems (Netsuite experience preferred)
