Accounts Payable Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading consumer brand on a 6 month FTC as their AP Manager. Reporting to the Financial Controller the Accounts Payable Team Leader will be responsible for running the Accounts Payable Department and managing a team of two Assistants. You will be committed to providing a great service to the accounts team and our internal teams and be comfortable leading a team, delegating tasks, motivating and supporting the AP Assistants.
The Responsibilities
- Managing a team of two Accounts Payable Assistants
- Ensure a smooth running of the Accounts Payable Department
- Weekly team meetings to discuss deadlines
- Ensuring that all invoices are processed correctly on time
- Keeping all the Supplier Accounts up-to-date
- Managing the weekly Cash Flow report
- Undergo the weekly Bacs and Manual payment runs for Suppliers
- Ensuring the Expenses and Cashcards are processed and paid on a weekly basis
- Close links with the bank reconciliation, feeding any payments made in the business to bank reconciliation process
- Performing the month end closing process and reconciliation of the ledgers
- Ensuring that the credit card accounts are processed correctly
- Processing any Cheque and Credit Card payments
- Keeping the Purchase Orders up-to-date on a monthly basis
- Ensure the Accounts Payable team are replying to all queries in a timely manner and all queries are dealt with correctly and efficiently
- Staff training
- Implement and improve processes
Essential
- Experience as an Accounts Payable Manager / Supervisor
- Proven team leadership experience with ability to motivate and maximise team member performance
- Factory supplier reconciliations and GRNI
- Takes ownership of issues, either finding a solution or seeking advice where necessary
Desirable
- Experience of working with Concur
- Experience of working with Navision
- Experience of dealing in multiple currencies
