Financial Controller

Hands on Controllership role with a successful established organisation

Your new company
An established, successful SME who have traded well in the last 12 months are partnering with Hays on an exclusive basis to appoint a Financial Controller to meet the ongoing demands of the organisation.

Your new role
You will be accountable for a broad remit which engages a number of internal and external stakeholders hence an influential communication style will be essential. You will play a key role in managing the companies cash-flow on a monthly basis in addition to overseeing VAT returns for a number of entities within the wider portfolio. You will support the preparation of the year end financial accounts whilst liaising with the external auditors. Furthermore you will ensure that the integrity of the financial ledgers are maintained whilst keeping up to date with accounting standards ensuring compliance is duly adhered to.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accountant with a preference for those trained within the profession who demonstrate strong technical accounting skills. You will be comfortable working in a hands on manner in a broad remit where there is a strong focus on collaboration which is par the course within an SME. The client is open to candidates seeking their 1st move from a chartered environment or those who have since moved on from the profession who wish to further progress their career within industry.
