Assistant Accountant / Payroll

Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently working in partnership with a global manufacturing firm based in Rotherham as they look to expand their finance function with the addition of a capable and hardworking Assistant Accountant.

Working within a sizable and supportive team, you will be given exposure to all areas of a fast paced accounting role including responsibility for the management and financial accounts. This is an all encompassing role where you will receive exposure to everything from accruals and prepayments, to tax and VAT to various reports (cost, stock, sales etc.)

Role summary:

Assisting with the preparation of accounts including accruals and prepayments, managing fixed assets, processing staff expenses, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, various reporting, payroll processing, VAT returns, overseeing foreign currency, petty cash, tax analysis and overseeing the bank accounts.

Our client is looking for the following experience:

*Multi-currency exposure
*Assistance with monthly management accounts preparation
*VAT exposure
*Experience of producing reports and providing analysis
*Payroll processing
*Previous experience working within manufacturing (desirable)
*Ability to work confidently and liaise with individuals at varying levels
*Strong Excel skills - pivot tables & VLOOKUPs
*Experience working with finance systems
