Your new role
Part of a busy finance team you will report into the Head of Finance on a daily basis.

As the financial accountant you will be responsible for the following areas:

• Assist the Head of Finance in the production of accurate and timely management accounting information for the production of group monthly management accounts and supporting documentation.
• Complete allocated monthly balance sheet control account reconciliations on a timely basis, overseeing all control reconciliations and checking for completeness, accuracy and sensibility.
• Analyse key non pay expenditure accounts for forecasting and budget setting purposes.
• Assist in the accurate recording and tracking of staffing costs for the purpose of budget control, in year forecasting and annual budget setting.
• Ensure that the funding systems data aligns with the financial systems data to ensure accurate in year income forecasting.
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns ensuring accuracy and timely submission and payment of liabilities to HMRC.
• Assist in identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for increased financial efficiencies.
• Support members of the wider team in analysing data and producing management information reports specifically in relation to income and staffing pay costs.
• Extract and analyse date to perform bench marking exercises.
• Produce proactive information, identifying key trends to support decision making.
• Develop and improve reporting systems and reports.

You will be required to assist within the finance department within busy period.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally be a qualified accountant with 3 years financial/management accountant experience.
Ability to work under pressure and have advanced Microsoft office experience.
