Elevation Accountancy & Finance are really excited to be working in partnership with an innovative organisation based in Barnsley as they look to appoint an Accounts Assistant into their finance team!

This is a rare opportunity for someone with roughly 2 years' experience working within accountancy and finance to join a small team and provide extensive support across a range of duties from transactional finance through to monthly management accounts preparation.

Duties of the Accounts Assistant will include:

*Accounts payable - processing invoices, payment runs and liaising with suppliers
*Accounts receivable - raising invoices, allocating cash & chasing outstanding payments
*Bank reconciliations
*Purchase orders
*Cash flow
*Assisting with the monthly management accounts preparation
*Producing board reports
*Processing bonus & commission
*Budgeting and forecasting
*VAT returns
*Expenses
*Credit card reconciliations

Person specification:

*At least 2 years' experience within a varied accounting role
*Educated to GCSE level including Maths & English
*Studying towards AAT qualification or AAT qualified
*Strong IT skills including Microsoft Excel
*Strong communication skills
