Based in North Cornwall the Group comprises of – Watergate Bay Hotel, Another Place Hotels and Beach Retreats.
Watergate Bay Hotel, situated on the coast in North Cornwall is a 73-bedroom hotel with 4 restaurants, self-catering accommodation and a surf school. Inspired by its location, the hotel has developed an ethos of ‘active relaxation’ which is at the heart of everything we do. A development masterplan for the Bay started in 2020 and includes the opportunity for wholesale rooms renovation as well the opportunity for significant growth of 2 sites already under our ownership.
In 2017 the team behind Watergate Bay launched a new collection of hotels, Another Place, with the same relaxed, active, and social ethos, the first of which Another Place, The Lake, is located on the shore of Ullswater in the Lake District. In January 2020, the team completed the acquisition of Amport House near Andover, Hampshire. Another Place, The Garden will be the second in the Another Place collection and will open in summer 2022.
Beach Retreats completes the family of brands and is a fast-growing self-catering agency based in Cornwall. Beach Retreats has recently developed an operating arm to the business and has signed the first management agreement to operate its first branded Aparthotel development, to open near St Ives in Cornwall in spring 2022.

The Group Finance Director will join an executive team of 3 other directors with responsibility across all three brands to help shape and deliver a bold strategy for growth.
You
You will probably already have been a Finance Director, within an industry relevant to hospitality and tourism. You will be a qualified, tech-savvy, accountant, and be an experienced natural leader who is able to balance day to day operations, detail and compliance with visionary, long term financial planning and delivery. The programme of capital expansion will benefit from your strategic finance experience and a honed and agile intellect.
