Client Accountant

Exciting opportunity for an ambitious qualified (or finalist) Client Accountant seeking a client facing role in growing digital practice. 

In your role as Client Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring all accounting is completed accurately and on time by the outsourcing department before being presented to the client.

Main duties of the Client Accountant 

You will look after c. 70 clients, the majority of which will be limited companies with daily, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting requirements. You will be responsible for overseeing the production and timely delivery of a full range of accounting services to meet compliance and client requirements. 

Whilst your role will be to oversee the work done by your team, you should also be hands-on and ready to prepare or finalise accounts and Tax returns.  You will also resolve any issues and problems thus creating a smooth link between the firm and its clients.

Experience required for the Client Accountant

You will have begun your career in practice, gaining experience of bookkeeping, preparation of management and statutory accounts, VAT, corporation and personal tax and all aspects of compliance. Other skills:

·         You will be knowledgeable in how the taxes interact, and able to convey that to clients.

·         A commercial awareness and eagerness to add value to clients will be an essential part of your role.

·         Knowledge of FRS102 and FRS105.

·         Strong accounting and general software knowledge and experience.

·         The role would suit an enthusiastic professional who take pride in their work and is focused on adding value to clients.

The Practice

The practice provides a full accounting and business support service to start-up and micro clients, many of which are tech entrepreneurs, investors, and founders of owner managed businesses. The firm offers a working environment which would suit an ambitious Accountant who can work with entrepreneurial business owners and investors.
