Accountancy Recruit are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join an established and successful company based in Cambridge. This is a full-time, permanent job and will be a sole charge role with responsibility for the finance function from day to day transactions, to month end accounts and year end statutory/compliance obligations for two legal entities.
So, if you like variety and have the technical ability to maintain the accounts function from start to finish you will find this job very interesting. You will need a flexible approach to get involved in all aspects of the accounts, managing debtors and creditors, business facing with the bank and presentation of financial reports to the Directors.
If you are currently working as a: Finance Manager, Accounts Manager, Bookkeeper or Accountant your skills would be transferable.
Job description

• Sole charge responsibility for the company's accounts function
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Monthly balance sheet and profit & loss accounts
• Robust cash flow forecasting
• Analysis and provision of reports re: overheads and unit/material costs
• Overseeing the billing process
• Maintaining the purchase ledger and responsible for weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payments
• Debtor management/chasing debt
• Calculation of VAT and returns
• Submitting payroll data and making payments
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register

The successful Applicant

• Qualified by experience Finance Manager
• Background in small to medium sized businesses
• Working knowledge of accountancy software and strong Excel skills
