Head of Finance – Management Accounting

A well know technology services business is recruiting a Head of Finance on a contract basis. The assignment will start asap and is scheduled to end in September. There is the possibility of being extended or going permanent.

The role is responsible for the delivery of all Corporate & Management Reporting for the UK region reporting to the Finance Director. You will lead, manage and motivate a team of 5 qualified and Part Qualified Management Accountants. The team are responsible for accurate and timely performance reporting (monthly management accounts) for the UK and several other divisions and smaller territories. You will provide analysis and commentary on performance to senior colleagues and the business. Identifying trends and explain variance to drive effective decision making.

You will manage the planning and budgeting process for the UK business and deliver annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for group submission. You will manage the businesses forecasting process providing support and challenge. Due to the high-profile nature of this role there will be a significant element of ad hoc project work and pieces of analysis.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with post qualified experience leading the delivery of management accounts in a fast-paced business and a strong technical understanding of revenue recognition and IFRS 15.

Based: Central London

Salary: £75 – 85,000 pro rata
