Our client is a PE backed IT services business and they are now looking to recruit a CFO who can operate as a strategic partner to the CEO.  The CFO will be an important member of the Senior Management Team (SMT), with heavy involvement in commercial aspects of the business to help deliver growth in both the UK and internationally, the CFO will play a key role in supporting senior management in the continuing professionalisation of this fast growing and entrepreneurial business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • All statutory reporting
  • Monthly management accounts, including cash and performance forecasts
  • 12 month rolling P&L, 13 week cash flow, balance sheet and financial covenants
  • Continued refinement and interpretation of KPIs
  • Continued refinement of and adherence to appropriate internal controls
  • Provision of strategic insight and support across the business from the finance function
  • Ensuring effective and efficient financing of growth
  • Company secretarial duties
  • Treasury and working capital management
  • Commercial risk management

Profile

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with sound technical skills
  • Highly motivated individual with an energetic, hands-on approach to business
  • Strong team player, with good emotional intelligence
  • Commercial and strategic mindset with the ability to work outside the traditional confines of finance
  • Experience of working in private equity backed businesses
  • Experience of working in IT Services/ Outsourcing/ Technology businesses, ideally B2B
  • Previous transaction/ M&A experience
  • An understanding of the requirements of a business growing internationally including management of foreign exchange, cash flow, banking, reporting etc
  • Experience of building a high quality Finance team.
  • Broader operational experience including HR, Property & Legal
  • Contract negotiations and a strong understanding of long term recurring contracts
  • Experience of preparing a business for Exit
