Senior Finance Business Partner (Operations) | Bourne | £48,000 - £55,000

The Opportunity

Your focus isn’t statutory accounting or financial accounting – it’s all about getting under the skin of the factory and hugely valuable business partnering with operational colleagues and the site leadership team.

  • Your role is vital. You will be the key link between finance and production teams / site management functions.  You’ll translate the MI packs / weekly and monthly management accounts packs into real life summaries and commentaries.  You’ll be key in assisting in weekly decision making and overarching longer-term strategies.  You’ll help influence how capital spend is managed, how labour spend is controlled, how efficiencies are optimised.
  • Ultimately you’ll be a modern finance business partner focused on working with the plant managers to solve “how profit is best identified / tracked and maximized”

This is a role for a commercially astute finance professional who is at home in the manufacturing facilities.  Its is a super-fast-paced, award winning manufacturing group with an excellent track record and enviable market position.  You’ll work with highly talented and driven colleagues and be a valued member of a diverse and inclusive senior team.  Your input and ideas will be welcomed and you’ll have chance to develop your own reputation and progress  your own career swiftly.

The role will give you a high degree of visibility and plenty of first hand connection with the site.

There is an exciting balance of project work alongside the routine of the role and you will also enjoy coaching / leading and engagd team of management accountants.

If this is your bag and you feel you could add value to a growing manufacturing group we would welcome the chance to speak.

You’ll need:

  • Experience of a fast-paced and innovative FMCG manufacturing environment, ideally food production.
  • CIMA or equivalent.
  • Great interpersonal skills and an ability to ‘be on the same wavelength’ as the operational teams.
  • Common sense and an ability to see past the numbers to make accurate assumptions of what drives change in the factory.
  • A proactive approach to solving problems and a natural passion for making positive change.
