Join esteemed charted accountancy practice as Tax Advisor / Consultant - Greater Manchester - £30-45k DOE

Your new company
This multi-office North West based charted accountancy practice are looking to appoint a new Tax Advisor / Consultant to their well established tax team. They have office in Manchester, Merseyside and Lancashire and are one of the leading practices supporting entrepreneurial and Owner Managed Businesses across the space. They have a highly broad line of services that ranges across, completing management accounts and accounts preparation, business support & advice, audit, tax compliance and extensive tax advice, including a relatively new focused capability on R&D tax credits. Each of their four offices have a tax department that handle an allocation and its associated compliance but generally the advisory work is centred around their Manchester office where they have qualified partners and an associate director to assist with the winning and review of such work.

Your new role
Your new role as Tax Advisor / Consultant in the Manchester office of this charted practice will be supporting the Group Tax Partner and Tax Advisory Director to work on tax advisory projects from re-organisations, EIS/SEIS submissions, share work and technical R&D reports. Research tasks will range across; Corporation tax, income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, VAT, SDLT, and you can expect to work on said advisory projects with clients directly and when assisting more junior members of the team with complex compliance within these. There will be no restriction on freedom to develop business for this firm which cannot be said for all positions at this level.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed within this Manchester based Tax Advisor / Consultant job you must be ACA/CTA/ACCA/ATT qualified or qualified by experience, or have relevant experience working within a practice before. You must be articulate when speaking with clients and have a technically astute understanding of a broad array of taxes. It will be key to understand the basics of R&D tax relief due to the risen popularity of this advice, while ensuring maximum and legitimate delivery of these claims. You will be organised, self-autonomous and client oriented, taking pride in translating complex legislation to clients as required.
What you'll get in return In return for this job, my client is prepared to offer a highly competitive salary, 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), death in service and group income protection. Alongside these notable benefits, this firm are also happy to offer financial support in the attainment of relevant qualifications such as the CTA. There will be no glass ceiling within this organisation and they advise that any individual is able to progress up to senior management. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive, successful and collaborative team.
