My client, an instantly recognisable local employer, is offering excellent, permanent, opportunity offers the post holder a core role in the Finance Department to deliver monthly payroll for both a permanent and temporary work force.

As the ever-expanding organisation has an established brand within its geographical reach, it paves the way for an experienced Payroll Manger to lead the business through its continued growth.  This post requires previous team management skills and works closely with both senior financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Some of the duties and responsibilities include:

• Developing the Head Office Payroll team by ensuring the effective delivery of the transactional services and payroll effectively and accurately

• Managing a team of Payroll Assistants and producing reports and ensuring compliance to the organisations policies and procedures

• Preparing monthly management accounts, budgets & forecasts and year-end employment disclosures for all employment costs and headcount reporting. This will include monthly performance reporting, statistics and annual returns (including P11D, P60 and PSA disclosures).

• Leading and reviewing Payroll processes and systems, identifying possible improvements and making recommendations where required

• Informing the Senior Management team on potential changes in regulations to ensure compliance in all areas

• Providing expert advice on any queries from internal employees regarding pensions and making necessary adjustments where possible
