Finance Manager
£45,000 - £50,000 plus benefits

An SME consultancy business is looking to hire a Finance Manager that can review their current accounting department, and support the business directors with effective management information. The successful candidate will have experience delivering Financial & Management Accounts for a professional services SME business. You must be a diverse individual that can hold your own within a senior leadership team and have the gravitas to share your thoughts with the directors.
DUTIES:
- Leading the creation and discussion of the Monthly Management Accounts for an SME business approx £15m t/o.
- Line management of (initially) a team of three, and helping grow this finance team as the business expands
- Completion of monthly management accounts and financial insight reports
- Development of further financial models to support different divisions in the business and the Directors project needs
- Leading annual budget setting process as well as monthly cash flow forecasts
- Acting as the key liaison for external audit processes
- Implementing strong controls to protect the business' financial processes on a continuous basis
- Start plans to bring the statutory accounts in house.
IDEAL CANDIDATE: - The successful Finance Manager will ideally have the following:
- High-calibre qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA) with at least 2 years PQE
- Deep technical knowledge of SME Financial Accounts
- Proven experience in successfully managing a team.
- The ability to influence change within the business and the gravitas to build strong financial management.
- Experience in professional services, consulting businesses
- Effective communicator at all levels, able to deal with non-finance staff.
- Advance experience of MS Excel is essential.
