This is a newly created progressive position at an important period of change and growth within the business. About the role
As the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the day to day running of the Finance function with a clear pathway to FD in the future. You will manage a small team of 2 staff with the view to strengthen the team as the business develops. Working as a true Business Partner to the management team and stakeholders you will have exposure to the business and will be required to provide development opportunities, have a commercial outlook and assist with the business growth. You will also provide timely an accurate financial reports and management information. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven qualified Accountant looking to develop a broad skill set in a developing and progressive role.

Salary - £50000 + excellent benefits
Main Duties
- Day to day running of the finance function, managing 2 staff
- Providing accurate financial reports, management information and financial planning
- Budgeting and forecasting, partnering with department heads
- Producing monthly management accounts and KPI reports
- Business partnering across the wider business including key stakeholders within the business
- Manage the annual audit
- Improve financial controls and process, develop, and refine processes and systems where necessary
- Cashflow management, oversea AP and AR and manage Corporation Tax, VAT and Treasury
- Prepare statutory accounts
- Provide corporate support, liaise with shareholders, and provide information on performance as required
- Develop the finance department and act as a mentor to the team
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
- Previous experience working in a similar role
- Experience preparing management accounts, stat accounts, and financial analysis
- Strong Business Partnering experience with non-finance staff
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- The ability to add value and drive growth and change
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Excellent time management
