Your new company
Your new job as Financial Controller at Arrow coincides with an exciting time for the business. Private equity backed, they have the ambition to double the business by 2023 through organic growth and by acquisition. Based in Godalming, Surrey you will take on a key leadership role reporting to the CFO.

Your new role
As part of the “all hands” management team and Controller of the finance department, you will be taking on a job that is going to grow and develop as Arrow expands. You will lead a team of finance professionals, both direct and indirect taking ownership for management, coaching and development. You’ll ensure accurate delivery of monthly management accounts with executive summaries and KPIs, business partnering internally with key stakeholders and external advisors (banks, auditors, tax advisors), oversee the forecasting, budgeting, mid and long-term planning process and ensure at year end the audit and statutory accounts are produced and submitted in a timely manner. Alongside managing the “day to day” aspects of the finance department and working with the “all hands” Management to deliver strategic objectives, you will be continually improving controls, rationalising and using technology to automate manual processes, particularly in reducing the time to deliver monthly management accounts. A mindset of continuous improvement is key!

What you'll need to succeed
In addition to your professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) and strong technical accounting ability, you should be a proven leader; insightful, concise and clear in communicating, a business partner, ideas driven and able to challenge “the norm” to drive business growth. You should be a strong relationship developer and be able to articulate complex financials to “non-finance” stakeholders and equally be able to delve into the detail where required, analysing using your Excel skills and continuously spot ways of improving the finance function as it evolves. If successful, this offers you an opportunity to develop into a future Finance Director.

What you'll get in return
A competitive salary is on offer as well as a competitive benefits package. After 12 months you will also be part of the staff equity ownership scheme. Whilst the role is currently remote, as restrictions ease, you will spend the majority of your time in the Godalming office which is fully setup as “covid secure”.
