Your new firm
A well established independent firm of Chartered Accountants based in Clitheroe are looking for an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant to join their management team as an Audit & Accounts Manager. This is a great job opportunity for a manager to broaden their experience in a challenging yet rewarding role. This is a full time role but will offer a permanent hybrid working arrangement when restrictions ease.

Your new role
As an Audit & Accounts Manager you will be allocated a varied portfolio of clients including SMEs, OMBs, Groups, Charities and a range of other clients. With the support of junior and qualified staff you will be responsible for delivering accounting and tax compliance and statutory audit works for your portfolio (50/50 audit and accounts split ideally). Day to day duties will include overseeing audit assignments with involvement from planning through to completion, delegating and review of statutory accounts work and preparing complex and group accounts. You will be a key point of contact for your clients and be responsible for leading client meetings and maintaining contact throughout the year.

What you'll need to succeed
The firm are looking to appoint an ACA / ACCA qualified accountant who lives locally to Clitheroe and has a proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients. Ideally you will have experience managing both audit and accounting assignments however managers with just accounting and tax knowledge will be considered. The partners are looking for an organised accountants who are comfortable liaising with clients, mentoring junior staff and delegating work.
