The role

The Trust are looking to appoint a highly motivated individual to work as part of the Management Accounting team based in Wakefield. This is a challenging role requiring financial and budgetary expertise underpinned by excellent communication and negotiation skills. Enthusiasm, self-motivation and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential.

The Senior Finance Manager will lead a small team in supporting five of the Trust’s Business Delivery Units by delivering a high quality and timely financial management service to all budget holders. The post holder will also be expected to support the Deputy Director of Finance as required including report writing, completing statutory returns and attending meetings with both internal and external stakeholders.

The successful applicant will be a strong team player with good leadership skills, confident of working on their own and able to effectively liaise with key stakeholders to ensure an accurate financial position is reported whilst supporting managers to deliver and develop their service.
