Fund Controller - Real Estate. Our Client are a highly-regarded and well-known alternative investment company that focuses on Fund Accounting for Real Estate and Private Equity clients. They are looking to expand their real estate department and are seeking a new Fund Controller to join the team.

The role will include:

  • Reviewing and checking prepared consolidated accounts under IFRS for real estate clients focusing on UK funds.
  • Reviewing financial accounts for UK funds.
  • Verifying the Profit & Loss, balance sheets and valuations.
  • Ensuring NAV calculations are reviewed and delivered on a monthly or quarterly basis along with any other client specific reporting requirements.
  • On-boarding new real estate clients and being the main point of contact with clients.
  • Preparing the deliverable timetables and coordinating the delivery with clients, auditors, solicitors and tax advisors.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and other requirements of the funds specifications.
  • Reviewing financial statements as required annually.
  • Assisting the Director with setting the control procedures, implementing and rolling out the procedures company wide.

The Person: To apply you MUST be c2-5 years ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified and have real estate funds experience either in a firm of Fund Administrators, fund management or a firm of Chartered Accountants. The successful candidate will have previous experience of preparing and reviewing consolidated accounts under IFRS and being able to review financial reports under IFRS. The ideal candidate will also have previous experience working in a client-facing role. They will have a strong and confident manner of written and verbal communication, as the position requires substantial client contact.
