Commercial Finance Manager

Sharp Consultancy are partnering on a retained basis with a high growth, market leading client based in the Sheffield area.

Our client has developed highly profitable service lines throughout a sustained period of growth and as part of the next stage of growth wants to add a commercial lead to the current finance function.

The role will be based out of the head office in Sheffield but the day-to-day location can be flexible and remote.

Reporting directly into the Group CFO this is an exceptional role, suiting someone looking for an opportunity to step out of their current situation to gain more business partnering exposure with a clear path to FD combined with strong mentoring and personal development throughout that journey.

You will take full responsibility for the business commercials and will be the lead around the commercial decision-making process, predominantly with non-finance leads.

Job Purpose:
*To take responsibility for the Group's analysis of management information
*To lead the process for evaluating and approving new business opportunities, partnerships and agreements
*Identification of potential M&A activity
*Management of the Management Accounts team
*Manage specific projects as appropriate
*Create greater processes and control around the localised decision making process

Key personal attributes:

*Driven and proactive, with a key eye for commercial decision making
*Dynamic, proactive attitude - ability to improve performance and processes
*Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) preferably ACA having advised business leaders as part of your professional development
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior and director level
*Strong commercial awareness
*Experience of business process improvement - commercially focused
*Ability to drive insight from data and performance to support key business decisions
