Treasury Accountant

Elevation Senior Finance are currently working with one of Leeds choice employers as they seek to appoint a competent and confident Treasury Accountant to play a very active role supporting the Head of Group Treasury across a broad range of reporting, analysis, business support and day to day operations of the function and to support in the ongoing enhancement and development of Treasury Management solution and payment platforms to meet the current and future needs of the business.

Duties & Responsibilities will include:

- Management of cash and Treasury risk
- Where appropriate, challenging business units on cash performance
- Effective communication with Senior Directors, Stakeholders and Banks
- Management of operational cash flow
- Daily cash reporting
- Monthly short term forecasting
- Consolidation of forecasts across business units
- Implementation of Group cash actions to ensure Group is optimising cash and liquidity performance
- First draft preparation of monthly Treasury Board report
- First draft preparation of quarterly results presentation
- Supporting department head with ad-hoc projects as required for the role


The successful candidate will require the following:

- Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified ACT with Corporate Treasury experience
- Experience in producing and delivering reports to stakeholders
- Some exposure to financial markets and other treasury related or finance operation activities beneficial
- Appreciation of treasury concepts - hedging, banking, liquidity, funding, financial markets
- Technically strong, propensity for problem solving
- Strong analytical skills, good at manipulation and presentation of data
