Senior Finance Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an online clothing retailer as a Senior Finance Manager on a Fixed Term Contract basis.


Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for monthly stock and cost of sales reporting across the Group
• Ensuring compliance on stock valuations ahead of year end audits, planning stock balances and identifying customs duty adjustments to stock values
• Capex and depreciation reporting, ensuring compliance to our internal capex policies, that spending budgets are not exceeded, and that statutory reporting and capital allowances calculations are carried out at year end
• Ensure compliance across all areas of indirect tax across the group, including US sales tax, UK VAT, other sales taxes and customs duties
• Review the indirect tax returns prepared by the Senior Tax Analyst, as well as keeping abreast of global tax developments where relevant
• This will in particular involve further tax developments following Brexit, global tariff changes, and MTD requirements in the UK
• Management and continuing development of the Senior Tax Analyst
• Ad-hoc projects, particular those stemming from opportunities following Brexit

Experience Required:

• • You must have retail experience or similar
  • Experience gained within a growing, multi-site business, demonstrating an awareness of the specific challenges that this entails
  • Demonstrable, extensive experience with technical statutory accounting, management accounting, along with an exposure and understanding of indirect tax as a minimum

Skills Required:

• Very strong financial and tax accounting fundamentals
• Successfully prepared accounts under UK GAAP
• Technically and commercially astute

Qualifications:

• ACA/ACCA Qualified
